Trapped Thru a Window on Flickr.I took this photo back in the Summer. Horses are beautiful creatures to photograph, and are peaceful to watch. They are always intrigued by my camera. They are curious creatures.

“What people who don’t write don’t understand is that they think you make up the line consciously, but you don’t. It proceeds from your unconscious. So it’s the same surprise to you [as it is to me]. I don’t think of the joke and then say it. I say it and then realize what I’ve said. And I laugh at it, because I’m hearing it for the first time myself.”

So true with how I am, I couldn’t have said it better myself.

"Step on a crack. You will break your mothers back" I looked down and still think that today when I see a crack on the ground. Anyone superstitious enough to still step around them? The silly quotes we use to say as kids. I mean how twisted of a saying is that anyway? Why pick on Moms? What about Dads? I think we should insert other people like ex boyfriends and vice versa. Pick anyone that you would like (insert your list). I guess not everyone’s mom is a good one. My thoughts as I took this picture today…the ramblings of a photographer in thought.

Surrounded by Fish on Flickr. At one time, I had a lot of Pisces folks in my life. This picture represents those folks around me at the time. This year has been a learning process of sometimes the need to rid people that bring you down instead of lifting you up. I no longer have any of them in my life. I did not make that decision lightly. I just see now that relationships should build you up not tear you down. I admire the artist that I found that day. This image was painted on her studio floor. I have had a studio on my mind lately for my photography. I think this picture has more impact now than I ever thought it would personally to me. It is almost a foreshadowing to my future. I never caught any of these “fish”. I kinda threw them all back in, and hope they mature just like a true fisherman would. My Grandpa would have been proud that I chose to make that decision for my well being. He was a true fisherman. I still have my photography and my dream of a studio. There are many fishes in the sea as the saying goes. I shall find mine one day. I will wait just like a true fisherman at heart.

“A love letter to my camera… I am doing 30 days of Gratefulness on FB, and I thought that I would share my day two of this process. ” I am so thankful for my camera. It takes me out of myself. Helps me “focus” on what is important on the inside and the out. It allows me to create and speak my inner voice to the world. It helps me thru the difficult times, and helps me celebrate the good moments of others and myself. It is the communication device to my soul and a piece of my soul is in every picture. It is a piece of my soul to be seen and judged at the rawest of my core. I am so grateful for this instrument that allows me to create and see thru my eyes to whom it may speak” I believe every photographer feels this about their camera if they truly love what they do.”

“A lot of photographers think that if they buy a better camera they’ll be able to take better photographs. A better camera won’t do a thing for you if you don’t have anything in your head or in your heart.”
